In April 2020 for the first time in 2 decades the event was not located in Philadelphia. Instead, found in the offices, living rooms and bedrooms of the eyeforpharma USA team and over 150 expert speakers still dedicated to sharing their insights via their webcams, we switched to a completely virtual event due to Covid-19.

With over 12,000 virtual attendees signed-up in a little over 4 weeks we saw record attendance when the industry, and world, was at its knees to the emerging lockdown. The appetite and desire to come together, share ideas and collaborate at such a complicated time was humbling.

In 2021 we will bring the lessons learnt from this experience together with the irreplaceable magic of face-to-face interaction to create the biggest, most holistic eyeforpharma Philadelphia ever.

Now more than ever, society is looking to medicine developers for answers. Quickly moving important gatherings online is vital for innovation continuity and keeping us all making progress for delivering new medicines.
