Mr.
DeChellis is an accomplished pharmaceutical marketer and health
information technology (HIT) professional, providing value
to companies in life sciences arena. He is experienced in
a wide range of pharmaceutical industry initiatives and is
a recognized strategic thinker.
As principal of NHHS Healthcare Consulting, Mr. DeChellis
has focused efforts on HIT, online and offline promotion,
marketing mix analytics, disease management and CRM initiatives.
His experience, spanning thirty years in the pharmaceutical
industry, includes management positions in marketing, managed
care, field/trade sales, life cycle management and e-Business.
While at sanofi-aventis Mr. DeChellis was responsible for
developing real-time eBusiness strategies and online tools
to enhance education, and connectivity across the consumer
and healthcare professional communities, including electronic
health records and electronic prescribing. He was also responsible
for aligning internal standards for online content development
and process improvement to keep pace with the rapidly changing
HIT environment. His work focused on marketing and medical
education initiatives which encompassed working with a wide
range of organizations including nonprofits, academic institutions,
healthcare providers, government and HIT/commercial vendors.
Prior to joining sanofi-aventis eBusiness, Mr. DeChellis
was Managing Director of Arcola Laboratories, a generic division
of Rhone-Poulenc Rorer. The company was established to track
trends in the generic industry, identify and incorporate best
practices for brand life-cycle management and compete in the
generic marketplace. Knowledge of the generic business was
infused into the business and brand planning process and was
used to efficiently manage the impact of generic introductions
on ‘at risk’ brands. Efforts also included developing
long range generic business planning by class of trade.
Mr. DeChellis has also held pharmaceutical senior management
positions in: product management, field sales, institutional
marketing and sales operations.
Mr. DeChellis is a graduate of Kent State University where
he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree. He also is an active
member of a number of Pharmaceutical Associations.
