Ronnie Miller is the President and CEO of Hoffmann-La Roche Limited (Roche Canada). In this role, Ronnie is responsible for the strategic direction, profitability and operations of the pharmaceuticals division in Canada.

Ronnie has more than 30 years of extensive and varied experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He began his career in the United Kingdom as a sales representative, and accepted a series of progressive positions including Sales Management, Product Management, Business Unit Director and National Sales Manager.

Since joining Roche in 1988, Ronnie has held a held a number of positions of increasing importance, including National Sales Manager in the United Kingdom, International Product Manager in Switzerland, Marketing Director and Deputy Divisional Director of the Pharmaceutical Division in Japan, Xenical global task force leader, and Divisional Director of Pharmaceuticals in the United Kingdom. He was appointed President and CEO of Roche Pharmaceuticals in Canada in April 2000.

Ronnie Miller is Chair of the Industry Oncology Working Group (IOWG) and member of the Board of Directors of Rx&D, the national association representing Canada's research-based pharmaceutical companies. He was Chair of the Board of Directors of Rx&D from November 2007 to November 2008 and served two subsequent terms as Past Chair. Prior to becoming Rx&D Board Chair, he served on several industry committees including Public Affairs, and Stakeholder Relations and was Chair of the Rx&D Federal Affairs/FPT Relations Standing Committee.

Outside Rx&D, Ronnie is a member of the Swiss Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the University Health Network Research Committee, and sits on the Strategic Governance Board of GS1 Canada.

Ronnie holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Geography from Glasgow University.

Michael has been in the pharmaceutical business for over 30 years and has worked for a number of primary care and specialty based companies. His experience spans not only Sales and Marketing but also includes time spent in New Business Development, Training and Customer Relationship Management.

He was appointed President of Astellas Pharma Canada, Inc. in July 2010 and is active in Rx&D. He is a member of their Board of Directors and is Chair of the Prairies Committee.

Michael was inducted into the Canadian Healthcare Marketing Hall of Fame in 2010.

He is an avid, but not very accomplished golfer and enjoys both cooking and wine tasting. He has been married to his friend and confidant, Jo-Anne for 34 years and has two grown up daughters and four granddogs.

Mike's career in Pharmaceuticals spans more than 25 years. Mike began his career with Schering Canada in which he was provided many Sales & Marketing assignments. Later Mike joined Roche Canada and integrated the Genentech business into Roche and in 1997 was hired by Byk Canada to initiate and build up the new commercial organization.

During the early years at Byk, the commercial organization grew significantly under Mike's leadership. In 2004, Mike was promoted to General Manager, Altana Netherlands, whereby he spent the last 7 years successfully transforming the Dutch business. In 2011, Mike was asked to return to Canada to become President of Nycomed Canada.

Today Nycomed Canada Inc. is headquartered in Oakville, Ontario.

The company has over 165 employees across the country. Nycomed has been named a Top 100 Employer in Canada by Maclean's magazine for five consecutive years and was Top 50 in the GTA for 2009, named in the Top 3 Best Workplaces in Canada for 2008 by the Great Place to Work Institute Canada, ranked 16th in 2009 and 2010 and now ranks at #7 for 2011.

Mike graduated from the University of Guelph, with a degree in Economics.

Mike lives in Oakville with his wife Elisabeth. They have 2 children, both attending Canadian universities at this time.

Allen Van der Wee was named Vice-President, Sales in April 2007. Prior to that he was Vice-President, Strategic Business Solutions, and joined the Pfizer Canada Leadership Team in June 2004.

He joined Pfizer Canada in 2000 in conjunction with Pfizer's acquisition of Warner-Lambert, assuming the position of Director of Sales for the Quebec Region. In 2003, he added the Atlantic Region to his Sales responsibilities. He has been a key player on several important company initiatives in recent years, including Field Force Effectiveness, the creation of the Cardiovascular Resource Division and the Cardiovascular Leadership Team. Since joining the PCLT, Allen has been one of the sponsors on the Renaissance Project and the FOCUS Project.

Allen holds a Diploma in Business Administration and a BSc in Biochemistry, both from McGill University in Montreal. The first five years of his career were in the Sales division of Warner-Lambert Canada's Parke-Davis pharmaceuticals business. He then spent two years in marketing and one year as Manager, Customer Satisfaction. In 1994 he became a member of the Parke-Davis Canada Management Team as Director of Precision Marketing. One year later he became the National Sales Director.

In the community, Allen has been soccer coach for many years and has been involved with the West Island Palliative Care Residence Foundation and still remains very active within the community.

Allen is married and is the father of 2 daughters. He enjoys playing golf and skiing.

Mark Findlay is the Vice President, Access and External Relations at AstraZeneca Canada Inc., one of Canada's research-based pharmaceutical companies. In this role, Mark leads the overall management of reimbursement and market access for AstraZeneca, with the goal of providing access of AZ products to patients.

Having joined AstraZeneca in 2005, he brings extensive experience to this role based on his most recent position as External Relations Director, Ontario, Quebec and Private Payers as well as previous leadership roles in both sales & marketing. Mark "carried the bag" as a Pharma Sales Representative in Windsor, ON.

Mark graduated from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in BioChemistry. Mark, his wife Jackie and their two children reside in Burlington, Ontario.

He spent 3 years in Paris in Business Development and returned to Canada as Vice-President, External Affairs, Vice-President Finance and President. Following a merger, he was appointed Vice-President, Commercial Affairs, at Aventis. After a merger with Sanofi, he held several senior commercial positions and is currently Vice-President, Diabetes & Ethical Patient-Centered Unit at Sanofi. Benoit studied economics at the University of Montreal. He loves downhill skiing. He is married and has three sons.

Ian has had an extensive career in both the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors in Europe and North America. He has worked as a senior manager in three major pharmaceutical companies, GSK, J&J and AstraZeneca. As VP Sales & Marketing at AZ he was responsible for the launch of three major products that all went on to achieve sales in excess of $1billion.

He has also been the CEO of four biotech companies, two as founder, based in Europe and North America. One of these companies was recently purchased by Amgen, for a deal value in excess of $1 billion.

Ian has had responsibility in all areas of the biopharmaceutical industry, from drug discovery, research and development, through clinical trials, regulatory filings to sales and marketing and financings. As General Manager for Quintiles Canada he is able to bring considerable expertise to bear on all aspects of product promotion and sales growth. He is an active member of Rx&D.
