Im Too Young For This! Cancer Foundation

I'm Too Young For This! Cancer Foundation

The I'm Too Young For This! Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization that empowers young adults affected by cancer through innovative and award-winning programs and services. We are the nation's largest support community for this underserved population and serve as a bullhorn for the young adult cancer movement. Our charter is to ensure that no one goes unaware of the age-appropriate resources they are entitled to so they can get busy living.

Teenage Cancer Trust

Teenage Cancer Trust

The Teenage Cancer Trust aims to ensure that every young person with cancer and their family receive the best possible care and professional support throughout their cancer journey.

We fund and build specialist units for young people in NHS hospitals. Our units bring teenagers with cancer together with loads of new friends of their own age so they can support each other. Alongside all of this is a medical team of teenage cancer specialists who pool knowledge to create a body of expertise that's second to none. They're backed up by our Nurse Consultants who provide clinical care, develop research, deliver professional education and ensure that standards remain as high as possible.

Patients Like Me

PatientsLikeMe

PatientsLikeMe was co-founded in 2004 by three MIT engineers. Today, PatientsLikeMe is a for-profit company, but not one with a "just for profit" mission. We follow four core values: putting patients first, promoting transparency ("no surprises"), fostering openness and creating "wow." We're guided by these values as we continually enhance our platform, where patients can share and learn from real-world, outcome-based health data. We've also centered our business around these values by aligning patient and industry interests through data-sharing partnerships. We work with trusted nonprofit, research and industry Partners who use this health data to improve products, services and care for patients.

CanTeen

CanTeen

CanTeen's mission is to support, develop and empower young people living with cancer. We do this by providing an Australia-wide peer support network for 12 to 24 year-olds, who include*:

Patients - young people who have been diagnosed with cancer

Siblings & Offspring - young people who have an immediate family member (brother, sister, parent or primary carer) who has been diagnosed with cancer; and

Bereaved Siblings & Offspring - young people who have had an immediate family member die from cancer.

We provide Members with a place where they can simply be young people, away from the day-to-day pressures that come from living with cancer in the hospital or at home.'

European Cancer Patient Coalition

European Cancer Patient Coalition

Established in 2003, The European Cancer Patient Coalition is the voice of the European cancer patient community, uniquely representing the interests of all cancer patient groups from the major to the rarer cancers. It has been established to represent the views of cancer patients in the European healthcare debate and to provide a forum for European cancer patients to exchange information and share best practice experiences.

We derive our mandate to speak with "one voice" for all cancer patients from our membership and our democratic structure. With its motto "Nothing about us without us!", ECPC represents over 300 patient organisations in 42 countries, including the 27 EU member states.

1 Kiss 1 Voice

1 Kiss 1 Voice

1 Kiss 1 Voice believe by bringing fresh eyes and fresh ideas to old problems, they can show policy-makers how to inform and engage with young people in a meaningful way, and how to meet the needs of young patients and carers. Breaking taboos, challenging established views and developing innovative solutions, young advocates have enormous potential to improve this situation. 1 Kiss 1 Voice champion how young advocates can be the link between the decision-makers who shape health policy and the target audience, helping to shape policies to the needs and priorities of young people whilst showing how key messages can be communicated effectively. They aim to improve the lives of young people across Europe – whether it is for today, or for tomorrow.
