Michael
C. Pucci is Vice President of External Advocacy for GlaxoSmithKline. His work on GSK’s
Value of Medicines campaign has been featured on the cover of Sales & Marketing
Management, Medical Marketing & Media, and Advertising Age magazines in 2005 and
2006.
During Mike’s 24 years with the company, he has served as Vice President of
Sales for the Cerenex Division, which launched Imitrex and Zofran in the USA. Mike
then led Glaxo’s Sales Training Department for 10 years where he earned a CEO
award and set the pharmaceutical industry standard for new rep training and distance
learning.
Mike represents GSK on the Board of Directors for Together Rx and Together Rx Access,
a program which brings 25-40% discounts to people without prescription drug insurance.
In addition, he serves on the Board of the A.E. Finley YMCA, where he was named volunteer
of the year in 2003 and 2004 for his work with the competitive swim program. As the
leader of GSK’s United Way campaign for four years, Mike raised over $10 million
for charities in the Triangle region of North Carolina where he lives with his wife
Barbara, and two teenage daughters.
