After
graduating in Geochemistry, Martin began his career in Oil Exploration as a Petroleum
Geologist. Moving into the Pharmaceutical industry, Martin worked his way up from
Sales Rep through increasing levels sales management, before moving to Hoechst Marion
Roussel to lead the Trading & Hospital Contacting team. Whilst at HMR, Martin
also working in Marketing and Business information before the formation of Aventis,
which created the new role of Commercial Intelligence Manager. Responsibilities included
Marketing Planning, Promotional resources, CRM, Sales Force Effectiveness and most
things Strategic. Now at Novartis, Martin has headed the Global teams for Marketing
& Sales Effectiveness, Sales, and his current position is Head of Global Marketing
& Sales Operations for the Ophthalmics Business Unit. Martin regularly presents
on Operational Excellence and has recently had work published in Scrip magazine. |
