After initial training in General Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Southampton University, UK, Professor Jenkins gained further specialist infertility experience while working on the university in vitro fertilization programme. Following specialist training in reproductive medicine at Sheffield University, he became Consultant Senior Lecturer in Reproductive Medicine in the Centre for Reproductive Medicine at the University of Bristol. As the Clinical Director at this centre from 1999 to 2006, his research interests included reproductive medicine and pioneering work in medical informatics. This work led to multiple presentations, 4 books, 14 book chapters and over 100 articles. During this time he sat on various committees, including a large research ethics committee and launched a highly successful world renowned MSc course in reproduction and development delivered principally over the Internet.
Professor Jenkins has held positions in many professional bodies, including chairing the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology Classification of Infertility Taskforce and the British Fertility Society website editorial board. He has also been a member of the editorial boards for Human Reproduction and BJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Prior to joining Ferring Pharmaceuticals in January 2009, Professor Jenkins was Senior Medical Director in Endocrinology and Reproductive Health, at Merck Serono International S.A. and currently holds a visiting professorship at the University of Warwick, UK. Initially appointed within Ferring as Global Medical Affairs Director in Reproductive Health from Jan 2009 he was promoted to head the Global Medical Affairs group in July

Keith Allan is currently Head of Global Product Advocacy for Novartis based in Basel, Switzerland. He joined Novartis in 2000 as Head of Global Respiratory Marketing.
