Kay Brunner started his pharmaceutical career in 1998 as Medical Manager for Cardiovascular & Intensive Care in the German organization of Solvay Pharmaceuticals. In 2001 he took over the position of national Product Manager Gastroenterology.
As a next step Kay was promoted to the function of Global Product & Strategic Accounts Director Laxatives. In this function he was responsible for international marketing and the further development of relationships with key customers worldwide. In 2004 Dr. Brunner was nominated to build up a Global eBusiness Unit for Solvay Pharmaceuticals.
During the integration of Fournier he coordinated a Commercial Effectiveness project on a global level to give support for the further improvement of the Marketing & Sales functions. Due to the success of this project, senior management of Solvay Pharmaceuticals decided to establish a Global Commercial Effectiveness Department that combines Sales Force, Marketing and eBusiness Effectiveness. Dr. Brunner played an important role in establishing this innovative concept.
Since January 2007 Kay Brunner is working for Roche where he is leading and further developing the Global Internet Portal Competence Centre. Dr. Brunner and his regional teams are doing Multi-Channel eMarketing, Internet and eCommerce.
Kay is married and has 2 daughters. He was a former member of the German Youth Nationalselection in judo.
Dr. Brunner holds degrees in Medical Science from University of Würzburg and Marburg and in Business Administration from Leibniz Academy. Kay did his medical thesis in Oncology / Immunology. He authored several articles in Sports Medicine and is guest speaker for Pharmaceutical Marketing at the University of Applied Science in Hannover. |
