Mark Morgan is
currently the Vice-President of Finance for North American
Service Level Agreement management for Bayer Health Care.
In this role, Mr. Morgan manages a $100 million budget for
internal service agreements impacting information systems
and services across Bayer’s Health Care divisions.
Previously, Mr.
Morgan was the head of finance for the $1.5B Diabetes Care
business of Bayer Healthcare. In this role, Mr. Morgan oversees
the global finance function for the fastest growing business
within the diabetes business segment. Bayer Healthcare has
succeeded in nearly doubling the revenue and tripling the
profits for this business in just four years.
Prior to joining
Bayer Healthcare, Mr. Morgan was active in a consulting business
he founded, The Hypernicon Group. His company assisted pharmaceutical
companies in assessing business plans and managing acquisition
integration.
Mr. Morgan has significant
experience working with major systems, including many SAP
implementations, and major business processes including Sales

Radi Haloub is
currently a PhD student at the University of Huddersfield

Previously, Mr.
Haloub was assigned as a Key Account Manager (for key account
pharmacy chain) in IATCO – Procter and Gamble Distributor
in Saudi Arabia. In this role, he was responsible for managing
customer sales, customer business development, employing and
training of sales team, market analysis and managing outlets
distribution.
Prior to joining
IATCO, Mr. Haloub worked in Hikma Pharmaceuticals for more
than 8 years in various sales and marketing positions in Jordan
and Saudi Arabia. In Jordan, Mr. Haloub was responsible for
building new line products in Hikma Pharmaceuticals in MENA
countries (Middle East and North Africa), planning and conducting
marketing research, training sales teams, contacting international
suppliers, launching and re-launching new and existing products
in different MENA countries and re-positioning existing products.
In 2005, Hikma Pharmaceutical’s
management nominated Mr. Haloub to re-launch its image in
the Saudi market, where he became responsible for the sales
and marketing activities of injectable products in the Saudi
Arabian Market / Western Area. Mr. Haloub managed to accomplish
a doubling in the injectable product’s sales in the western
area within 2 years, employ a new injectable team and train
them about hospital and institutional selling skills in addition
to launching of new injectable items.
The University of
Huddersfield granted Mr. Haloub a full-tuition PhD scholarship
for the duration of 36 months, where he is currently conducting
a novel research in pharmaceutical sales forecasting that
is expected to result in a prescriptive model for a theoretical
conceptual stage in the process of sales forecasting, and
an understanding of how Bayesian theory can be utilized to
improve the predictive capabilities of pharmaceutical companies.

before coming to the United States where she received her

and Applied Sciences. Her research interests then moved away
from the bench to the study of science commercialization,
the organization of scientific research and the role of science
in national competitiveness. After a short time on the faculty
of Oxford’s Said Business School Fiona joined the MIT Sloan
School of Management where she studies and teaches innovation
and entrepreneurship with an emphasis on the life sciences
sector. Fiona is well-known for her work on how growing economic
incentives, particularly intellectual property (IP), influence
the rate and direction of scientific progress, particularly
in the areas of genomics, stem cells, and mouse genetics.
Fiona works with a range of firms designing global organizations
working with a wide range of internal and external innovators
(through traditional contracts and “Open Innovation” mechanisms)
that are both commercially successful and at the forefront
of science. She is also actively involved in policy debates
over the appropriate use of IP and licensing in universities
and more recently debates on when and when not to use patents
to promoted discovery research in neglected diseases. She
is also interested in new emerging organizational arrangements

partnerships, not-for profits, venture philanthropy, and university-initiated
