Baba
Awopetu is an international Brand Manager for Stryker and
a Senior lecturer at The Marketer’s Forum. He began
his career as a medical sales representative before progressing
into marketing. He holds professional and postgraduate diploma
in Marketing and lectures on both courses. Fascinated by the
field of strategy he is actively involved in research within
medical markets and recently completed a Masters programme
in Strategic Marketing under the supervision of Dr Brian Smith.
He has held various marketing roles including product and
Marketing management.
Baba‘s experience covers pharmaceuticals, Diagnostic,
Devices and research industries. He is a Chartered Marketer
and publishes widely in the field of marketing strategy, including
contributions to Pharmaceutical Marketing, Pharmaceutical
Times, On Target and The International Journal of Medical
Marketing. Baba has also provided consulting solutions to
organisations within and outside the medical markets. Baba
has worked for or provided support for the following organisations
Stryker, IMS Health, Roche, eFortresses, Pharmacia and Medtronic.
